Alternative Transportation: Public Transportation Access

LEED 2.2 Requirements:

Locate project within 1/2 mile of an existing -- or planned and funded -- commuter rail, light rail or subway station. OR Locate project within 1/4 mile of one or more stops for two or more public or campus bus lines usable by building occupants.

Submittals (DESIGN): Commuter Rail Service

  • Provide a site vicinity drawing showing the project site and the location and identification of all (existing/proposed) commuter rail stations within a 1/2 mile of the site.
  • Provide a listing of each fixed rail station including Line Designation / Description of Service and the distance from the station to the project site (miles).

Bus Service

  • Provide a site vicinity drawing showing the project site and the location and identification of all existing bus stops within 1/4 mile of the site.
  • Provide a listing of each bus line that serves the site vicinity including Line Designation / Description of Service and the distance from the bus stop to the project site (miles).
  • AND (For Projects With Special Circumstances) - Provide an optional narrative to describe any additional comments or notes regarding special circumstances or considerations regarding the project's credit approach.
