Annual Party Draws Nearly 200 Supporters for Networking and Fun

A diverse group of supporters from the San Antonio and Austin green building community attended the chapter's Annual Meeting & Party on Friday, March 23 at the adaptive reuse campus at Penn Field in Austin.

The attendees learned about the chapter's plans for achieving its mission in 2012 related to programming, membership building and partnerships. Board Chair Effie Weaver thanked the chapter's annual and party spoonsors, including Frost Bank, GSC Architects and Austin Energy Green Building.

Chapter welcomes new Executive Director

Pam Losefsky

Our second Executive Director, Pam Losefsky took over leadership of the Chapter in January this year (2012). Pam brings more than 20 years of communications expertise and a wide variety of non-profit leadership and development experiences to the chapter. Most recently, she served as director of communications and development for the San Antonio-based National Trauma Institute, where she was instrumental in building a public face for the young organization and growing its constituency. She has served on and led numerous non-profit boards in Austin, where she is based. Pam will continue to run the Chapter office at GSC Architects in Austin. Click here for the press release.

Featured LEED Projects:

Patrick Heath Public Library awarded Gold LEED certification


The new Patrick Heath Public Library in Boerne, open since June 4, 2011, was recently awarded LEED Gold certification by the USGBC and recognized during a plaque ceremony on January 26th.  The PHPL is the first building on the City of Boerne’s City Campus located on North Main and Johns Road.

The building maximizes natural sunlighting with many windows on the east side of the building.
