There are two different types of USGBC Membership - USGBC National Membership, for companies and organizations, and Chapter Membership, for individuals interested in being involved in the green building and sustainable development movement.

National Membership:
USGBC National Membership is for companies and organizations only. For companies and organization looking to become USGBC National members, visit www.usgbc.org.

There is no relationship between this type of membership and Chapter membership. Employees of National Member Organizations are entitled to a discount on Chapter Membership. As an employee of a National Member Organization you are entitled to discounts on events, workshops, and educational materials provided by USGBC National. However you are not automatically a Chapter Member and are not entitled to discounts on Chapter activities unless you are an individual Chapter Member.

Chapter Membership:
Chapter membership is for individuals wishing to be involved in and support the region's green building movement. The Chapter is a 501(c)(3) mission-driven organization dedicated to accelerating the transformation toward sustainablie building and land development practices in Central and South Texas through innovation, education, advocacy and partnerships.

As a Chapter member you can:

• Expand your professional network
• Post your profile in the new Member’s Directory*
• Actively participate in the green building movement
  Potentially influence the Chapter’s activities by serving in leadership positions and using your voting rights
• Stay current on the numerous national issues facing your industry in this region.
• Obtain discounted prices for Chapter presented educational programs and other membership events.
• Advance notice via e-mail of upcoming events and education workshops, as well as newsletters, member-only events and much more.
• Priority access to marketing and sponsorship opportunities.

*Members and non-members alike can establish profiles for convenience when registering for events, getting emails, etc. However, only Chapter Members have the option to display their profile publicly in the new Membership Directory.

There are various levels of Chapter membership available to individuals:

• Regular Chapter Member: $65.00
• Employee of a National Member organization (30% discount):  $45.50
• Full-time Student (60% discount): $26.00
