Our Local Chapter Continues to Expand

As our our chapter expands, we provide more and better educational outreach to the green building community within the Central Texas area. This has been an exciting year, and green building is beginning to make significant impact on the construction industry within our region.

As a Chapter, we are constantly searching for ways to expand our outreach programs and to provide value to our members. We educate owners, designers, and vendors about sustainable construction and provide resources for individuals to become LEED Accredited Professionals. As part of this effort to expand our outreach, we have decided to accept the national USGBC’s recommendations for local chapter membership structure and begin assessing annual dues for chapter membership. This nominal amount will allow us to expand our advocacy & outreach programs, enhance educational opportunities, and continue our growth.

As part of this change, we are looking for ways to provide a benefit to our members. Current benefits include discounted events, email notices, newsletters, voting privileges, and recognition as an active contributor to the USGBC in our area, and we will continue to develop ways to demonstrate value to our members.

Chapter Membership is for individuals - you do not have to be associated with corporate membership to the national USGBC to join.
